Deletion and limitation of personal data


Unless otherwise specified in this data protection declaration for individual cases, personal data will be deleted if it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected or otherwise processed and if there are no longer any legal obligations to retain it.

According to Art. 17 of the GDPR, we will delete personal data processed by us upon request. Personal data that is required for other and legally permitted purposes will not be deleted. This applies e.g. to personal data that is required for the pursuit of any claims to which we are entitled or that must be retained by us for reasons of commercial or tax legislation. Thus, documents pursuant to § 257 para. 1 No. 2 and 3 HGB and § 147 para. 1 No. 2, 3, 5 AO are kept for 6 years, documents pursuant to § 257 para. 1 No. 1 and 4 HGB and § 147 para. 1 No. 1, 4, 4a AO for 10 years.

The processing of this data is restricted in accordance with Art. 18 of the GDPR and the data is not processed for other purposes.

Login


You have the option of registering for our services and creating a login (also called customer access). For this, we require the following data:

The registration is voluntary and occurs according to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR on the basis of your consent. Your data will be used for the purposes of our services and to contact you for information relevant to our offers and registration. You can view and change your data via your personal user access. Your data will be stored until you instruct us to delete it. If we have to store your personal data due to, in particular, legal obligations under tax and commercial law, the processing of your personal data will be restricted accordingly until the expiry of the retention periods. These data will then be deleted.

If you register for our services or use the user account, we store the IP address and the time of the respective usage action. The storage is based on our and your legitimate interests according to Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f GDPR, for the preparation of our services and for protection against misuse and other unauthorised use. The user account and the data stored in this context are used so that you can order from us and are also used in particular to facilitate shopping and to access your order history. Data processing for the purpose of price list ordering is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a GDPR on the basis of the consent voluntarily given by you. Without this consent we cannot send you a price list. All personal data collected in connection with contacting us will be deleted after your enquiry has been dealt with, unless storage is necessary for other reasons (e.g. subsequent conclusion of a contract).

We use cookies as part of our services. We use services from hosting providers such as web servers, storage space, database services, security services and maintenance services to provide our services. In this regard, we, or our hosting provider on our behalf, process personal data of users in order to provide our services efficiently and securely.

This data will be deleted after six months if it is no longer required for other purposes (e.g. protection against or assertion of claims).

The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest follows from the data collection purposes outlined above.

This website uses Google Analytics from Google. Google Analytics uses cookies. Google collects data on the visits of users to our website and their viewing behaviour. This data is used for the purpose of ensuring that the design and ongoing optimisation of our website are in line with requirements, to measure the success of marketing measures and to create statistical evaluations. Pseudonymised utilisation profiles are created for this purpose. The information about your use of this website such as browser type/version, operating system used, referrer URL (the previously visited page), host name of the accessing computer (IP address), time of the server request are transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The IP addresses are anonymised beforehand by deleting the last three digits. User and activity data are deleted after 26 months. This information may also be transferred to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of us or Google. Under no circumstances will your IP address be merged with other Google data.

You can object to the storage of cookies in our cookie banner. You can also prevent cookies from being stored by setting your browser or terminal device accordingly. 12.   Advertisements


If you are a customer of ours and we have received your data in connection with the sale of goods or for services, we may use your data (first and last name, address and, if you work for a company your company affiliation) for direct mail advertising of goods or services offered by us or by third parties and for customer satisfaction surveys. In addition to this data, we may also store other data that we have lawfully collected about you for the aforementioned advertising purposes. In order to send our advertisements, we pass on your first and last name as well as the name and address of your company and, if applicable, your department to an order processor.

The purpose of this data processing is to target you as precisely as possible with advertising that matches your interests and to avoid advertising that does not appeal to you. The legal basis for the processing is our legitimate interest in direct marketing according to Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.

If we conduct a customer satisfaction survey, the processor will send the customer satisfaction questionnaires by post or email and evaluate the questionnaires. They will only provide us with the results of the customer satisfaction survey in anonymised form. It will not possible for us to assign the answers to individual customers. Participation in a survey is voluntary. The legal basis for processing the data collected through a customer satisfaction survey is, insofar as it concerns personal data, your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a) GDPR, which you give us by returning the questionnaire.

Postal advertising requires a certain lead time before dispatch to get the mailings printed and ready for dispatch. If you have objected to postal advertising, it may happen that you still receive advertising from us by post. This happens if the production process for the correspondence programme has already started when you sent an objection. This does not mean that we have not considered your objection.

If you are a customer of ours and we have received your email address in connection with your use of our services, we may use your email address for direct marketing of our own or similar goods and services.
